At Shaffer & Engle Law Offices, LLC we are sensitive that not everyone needs an elaborate estate plan. We have structured our fees on simple Wills to reflect the reality that these documents are critical and should be financially available to everyone.
Our rate for a simple Will is $25 for the first page and $5 for each additional page, along with a notary fee of $3. The average simple Will is two pages long and has an Affidavit page. The total cost, including the notary fee, is generally $38.00.
Additionally, simple Wills are FREE to any individual who acts as an Executor or Executrix of an Estate administered with Shaffer & Engle Law Offices, LLC.
A Simple Will is Not Right for Everyone
Our attorney's will work with you and your financial institutions and accounting and tax professionals, to create a coordinated plan to carry out your goals. We can also work with you to identify the best individuals to carry out your plan, or take guardianship of minor children and incapacitated persons.
Perhaps one of the biggest challenges facing Pennsylvania families today is preserving assets in an environment of increasing health care costs. Record numbers of Americans are entering long term nursing facilities at a time when costs for care are skyrocketing.
Many Pennsylvania residents in nursing homes rely on Medicaid to help pay for their costs. On February 8, 2006, President Bush signed into law the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 ("DRA"). This law includes a significant number of changes in asset eligibility for Medicaid. Our attorney's can help you navigate the new law and explain how it affects your life. We can also help you develop strategies to minimize the impact of rising health care costs on your assets and put that plan into place.
Has the time come for you to consider how to protect your estate from probate court?
