Jeffrey B. Engle is a general practitioner with over 15 years of litigation experience. He specializes in criminal defense and aggressive family law litigation, including custody and divorce.

For over 15 years, Attorney Engle has practiced criminal defense, civil, family and municipal government representation. Attorney Engle has tried over 50 cases to verdict before a jury and has a hard fought reputation as a successful litigator. He is well-acquainted with hundreds of state and local officials, including judges of the courts of common pleas in the several counties of the South Central Pennsylvania Region, magisterial district judges, both local and state police officers, and constables.

Attorney Engle has been the managing partner of Shaffer & Engle Law Offices, a firm in existence since 1951, since 2001. Jeffrey is a former Assistant Public Defender (1995-1997) and Deputy District Attorney (1997-1999). As both an Assistant Public Defender and a Deputy District Attorney, Jeffrey has litigated thousands of preliminary hearings, prepared countless witnesses before going into court, and has represented clients before the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts.

Attorney Engle is the solicitor for several local government agencies, including the Berrysburg Borough, Berrysburg Sewer Authority, Dauphin Borough, Lykens Water and Sewer Authority, Washington Township Sewer Authority, and the Upper Dauphin Area Income Tax Office.

Jeffrey is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, and is on the Board of Directors of the Northern Dauphin County Human Resources Office.
